For more than 12 years we have been working with children who have special needs in conjunction with The Northern Illinois Special Recreations Association (NISRA) and have taught children that might never get a chance to learn the martial arts. Our instructors are trained in a hand's on environment and work with children with all sorts of special needs from learning disabilities to wheelchair bound children. The only thing your child needs to participate is a doctor's approval and the desire to make a difference in their life. You have to see this program to believe the impact it has on the students, their parents, our instructors and everyone else in the Focus Family. We also have private lessons available for those who would like a one-on-one environment for their special needs child.
