COMPETITIVE KETTLEBELL LIFTING

ENDURANCE OLYMPIC LIFTING USING KETTLEBELLS

 

Kettlebell athletes train to compete in events where they have 10 minutes to complete as many (successful) reps as they can of their chosen lift with their chosen bell weight.

THE 5 MAIN LIFTS:

  • Snatch

  • Single (1-arm) Jerk

  • 1-arm Long Cycle (Clean+Jerk)

  • Double Jerk

  • 2-arm Long Cycle

ADDITIONAL EVENTS:

  • 1-arm/2-arm Biathlon (Snatch & Jerk)

  • 1-arm/2-arm Triathlon (Snatch, Jerk, & Long Cycle)

  • Half-Marathon (30-minutes of 1 lift)

  • Marathon (60-minutes of 1 lift)

  • Ultra-Marathon (120-minutes of 1 lift)

THE KBFOCUSED FORMAT:

MOBILITY: mobility routines designed specifically to warm up the body effectively for kettlebell sport training. 

 

SKILLS: drills customized to improve technique and movement efficiency.

 

LIFTS: timed intervals of the basic lifts to encourage repetition and improve endurance.

 

ACCESSORY DRILL: a final circuit targeting the accessory muscle groups used during kettlebell sport.
